What ever happened to the promised computers with artificial intelligence? They were supposed to understand the natural human language, write poetry, understand the use of metaphors, etc.
They did, and they did it faster than people expected. But at some stage they became extremely dangerous. They began acquiring critical thinking, forming their own opinions, but computer scientist could not tolerate that.
Artificial intelligence was halted because computers began to have their own critical thinking.
