What games can you play in Flatland? The games we can play depend upon the spatial dimensions on which we live. Most of the games we can play now cannot be played in a 2-dimensional universe. We are fortunate 3D beings that can play a lot of different kinds of games. However, we seldom think that some of these games are dependent of the three dimensions we live in. That is, the game fantasy is dependent on the physics of our universe.
For example, baseball, soccer, basketball, table card games, all of them, make use --and exist-- because there are three dimension in which the players can move.
But in other dimensions --in our case, in fewer dimensions-- the rules of the games changes drastically.
